Translation from Sanskrit: “Diamond pose”.

Vajra – “diamond, lightning”
Asana – “body posture”

Vajrasana: Technique

– Kneel down and bring legs together, feet together and look up
– Lower your pelvis onto your heels
– Keep your back straight, straighten your chest
– Spread your shoulders to the sides, stretch your neck and head up
– Place your hands on your hips in the area of your knees
– Do not allow lower back to bend
– Hold pose for a comfortable time. Calm breathing

Effect

– Increases blood irculation in the back area
– Heals and strengthens organs of the pelvic area
– Increases mobility of leg joints
– Improves digestion

Contraindications

– Knee and ankle injuries
– Problems in sacrum area
– Diseases of legs and spine joints
